Cahal Dunne to perform in Shannon Staub Library Friends fundraiser
Popular Irish entertainer Cahal Dunne and ChoirPlay, his mixed-voice chorus, will be the featured entertainment Saturday, March 30, in a Friends of Shannon Staub Public Library (FOSSPL) fundraiser. “Not your Granny’s choir,” says Dunne, “our playlist includes ‘Galway Girl,’ Motown and Queen medleys, selections by Bon Jovi, George Strait, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Toto and others.”
Doors for this limited-seating event open at 11:30 with opportunities for the audience to obtain refreshments and to view more than a dozen themed gift baskets, each valued at $50 or more. Assembled by Friends members, the baskets will be awarded in a donation drawing at the end of the performance.
The two-part Dunne/ChoirPlay show begins at 1:00.
Each $20 admission is also worth $1.00 toward the purchase of items in the Friends Used Bookstore which will be open throughout the event. Used bookstore items including hardcover books, paperbacks, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, and magazines cost $2.00 or less. Also available will be FOSSPL notecard sets for $12.00, Friends cookbooks for $14.95, and the opportunity to sign up for membership in the Friends.
Tickets may be obtained from Friends board members, in the Friends bookstore, and on FOSSPL’s website www.friendsofsspl.org.
