City to Present Event Opportunities at Chamber Breakfast
This month’s Breakfast Club Networking will be held on tomorrow, April 7th at 7:30 am at the Twisted Fork Restaurant, located at 2208 El Jobean Road in Port Charlotte. We are pleased to announce that we will have Laura Ansel, with the City of North Port Parks & Recreation Department, present at the Breakfast to provide a presentation on City of North Port Events that allow businesses and organizations to participate or sponsor in order to promote themselves to the community. You do not want to miss out on learning about these great opportunities that the City of North Port has to offer. This event is open to all Chamber members and there is no cost to attend unless you wish to order a meal off their breakfast menu. Guests are invited and encouraged to attend to see first-hand the power of networking and the benefits of being a member of the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce. Seating is limited to 70 people and attendees are requested to register in advance by visiting the “Event Page” on the Chamber’s website at www.northportareachamber.com.
Lunch & Learn Workshop
Whether you have a new, growing, or established company, the City has resources to help you thrive in the current business environment! Find out what the city can offer for those who own or manage a business in North Port. Be inspired by what is ahead for our City and how your business can benefit. There are many resources right here to help plan, open and grow a business. City staff have tools to help with demographic and other information to help businesses planning. Stay on track with building a new structure, moving into a new location, adding signage or maintaining your business. Our partners can help with workforce development. The Lunch & Learn Workshop will be held from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm this Thursday, April 8th at the Hampton Inn and Suites North Port, located at 5664 Tuscola Boulevard in North Port. North Port Small Business Lunch and Learn workshops are presented by the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of North Port and Toastmasters International of North Port. Lunch will be provided at no charge thanks to our workshop sponsor the City of North Port. Seating is limited, please register in advance by visiting the “Event Page” on the Chamber’s website at www.northportareachamber.com. Lunch & Learn Workshops are broadcast live on the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
The 2021 Leadership North Port Class will be conducting a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser to benefit local non-profit charities on Saturday, April 10th from 8:00 am – 10:00 am at the Olde World Restaurant, located at 14415 Tamiami Trail in North Port. The cost is $15.00 per person and includes: Pancakes or toast, bacon or sausage, eggs, home fries and beverage. 50% of all proceeds will benefit local non-profit charities in North Port. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Tickets may also be purchased on the Chamber’s website at www.northportareachamber.com.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Port Charlotte KIA, located at 202 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, on Wednesday, April 14th, at 11:30 am. Please join us as we welcome Port Charlotte KIA to the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce and see the great selection and deals they have on vehicles and what type of automotive services they offer. Beverages and snacks will be provided. Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies are free and open to all Chamber Members and to the public. In an effort to follow CDC guidelines and maintain safe social distancing, attendees are requested to register in advance.
Business After Hours
This month’s Business After Hours will be held on Tuesday, April 13th from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm at Kyle Kurtis Salon & Spa, located at 1143 N. Toledo Blade Boulevard in North Port. Join us for this great after-hours networking opportunity and see the recently renovated expansion that Kyle Kurtis Salon & Spa has completed. Business After Hours events are free and open to all Chamber members. Non-Chamber businesses and organizations are encouraged to attend to experience the power of Chamber networking. Food and beverages will be provided. To gain additional exposure for yourself and your business/organization, it is recommended that you bring a door prize to give away. In order to maintain recommended CDC guidelines and to maintain appropriate social distancing, you are requested to register in advance so that proper arrangements can be made.
Network at Noon Luncheon
This month’s Chamber Net @ Noon Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 15th from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the British Open Pub restaurant, located at 367 Jacaranda Boulevard in Venice. The cost is $15.00 per person if paid in advance or $20.00 per person if paid at the door. The Chamber will be introducing new Chamber Members at this Luncheon. This event is open to all Chamber Members. Non-Chamber businesses and organizations are encouraged to attend to experience the power of Chamber networking. It is requested that you make your reservations by Tuesday, April 14th, so that proper arrangements can be made. To gain additional exposure for yourself and your business/organization, it is recommended that you bring a door prize to give away.
Virtual “Let’s CHAT” Conversation
Every Friday morning the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will host the weekly “Let’s CHAT” Show by ZOOM from 8:00 am – 9:00 am. Participants will be able to talk with Bill Gunnin, Executive Director of the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, on topics and issues related to the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce or the City of North Port. This informal gathering with Bill and fellow Chamber Members provides a great opportunity to ask questions and obtain information about the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of North Port. The “Let’s CHAT” Show will be broadcast live on the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce facebook page. Those wishing to take part in the “Let’s CHAT” conversation can obtain the Zoom link by registering on the “Event Page” on the Chamber’s website at www.northportareachamber.com.
Business Spotlight Show
In an effort to show our appreciation to the many wonderful businesses and organizations that make up the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce membership, the Chamber conducts a weekly “Business Spotlight Show” on WKDW 97.5 FM Real Community Radio Station every Wednesday at 6:30 pm. This 30-minute radio show is also broadcast live on the Chamber’s facebook page during the taping of the show every Friday at 11:30 am. The show is design to spotlight a different Chamber business or organization and to showcase the products and services they provide to our community. Chamber members are the heart and soul of the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce and are an integral part of our community and continue to support our community on a daily basis. The Chamber encourages our community to shop local and support Chamber businesses and organizations when searching for products and services. This week, the Chamber will showcase Chamber Member Port Charlotte KIA during the “Business Spotlight Show”.
