Community Invited to Chamber Expo and Atlanta Braves BIG Rally
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding their 34th Annual Business & Community Expo on Saturday, February 15th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the George Mullen Activity Center in North Port. The Chamber is pleased to announce that Worksite is once again the Title Sponsor of the Business & Community Expo and the theme this year will be “BIG” (Business Is Great) Expo. The Expo is designed to showcase business products and services that are available to the community. The Atlanta Braves and the Tampa Bay Rays will be giving away tickets to their Spring Training Baseball Games every hour. There will be an opportunity for the public to win two grand prize tickets on the Key West Express. Every vendor participating in the Business & Community Expo will be giving away door prizes to the public. The Expo is open and free to the public and the first 300 participants will receive a complimentary goodie bags full of wonderful items provided by Chamber Members. This year, the Chamber is teaming up with the City of North Port to hold the Business & Community Expo in conjunction with the City's BIG RALLY event, immediately following the Expo, on the City Green in North Port from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The BIG RALLY will be a community celebration recognizing the first full Spring Training Season for the Atlanta Braves in North Port and the economic impact it will have on North Port. Live music, family activities, entertainment and wiener dog races will be provided at no cost to the community. Food and drinks will be available for sale. There are still a limited number of vendor booths available for Chamber and Non-Chamber businesses and will be sold and secured on a first-come/first-serve basis. The Chamber encourages all businesses and organizations to take advantage of this great opportunity to promote their business or organization to the community and potentially secure new customers, clients and community supporters.
Business After Hours
This month's Business After Hours networking event will be held today, February 11th, from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm at Keller Williams Peace River Partners, located at 1951 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. This month’s Business After Hours is being sponsored by the Rhonda Gustitus Team. This event is open to all Chamber members and there is no cost to attend. Businesses and organizations that are not currently a member of the Chamber are encouraged to attend to experience the power of Chamber networking and see how the Chamber can help their business or organization. To gain additional exposure for your business or organization, you are encouraged to bring a door prize to give-a-way at the event. Food and beverages prizes will be provided.
Tampa Bay Rays Multi-Chamber Breakfast
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, Englewood Florida Chamber of Commerce, Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce and the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce, will be participating in the Annual Tampa Bay Rays Chamber Breakfast on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 8:00 am at the Charlotte Sports Park, located at 2300 El JoBean Road in Port Charlotte. The breakfast is an opportunity for members of the various Chambers of Commerce to network with each other and to hear special guest speakers from the Tampa Bay Rays. There is no cost to attend and a light continental breakfast and beverages will be provided by the Tampa Bay Rays. After the breakfast, Chamber Members are welcome to stay and watch the Tampa Bay Rays players participate in the first day of Spring Training practice.
Net @ Noon Luncheon
This month’s Chamber Net @ Noon Luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 20th from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at Plantation Golf & Country Club, located at 500 Rockley Boulevard in Venice. A Large extensive gourmet salad bar with grilled chicken and shrimp; two house-made soups; fresh baked breads; carved ham and turkey; dessert station; and fountain drink will be provided. The cost is $15.00 per person if paid in advance or $20.00 per person if paid at the door. The Chamber will be introducing new Chamber Members at this Luncheon. This event is open to all Chamber Members. Non-Chamber businesses are encouraged to attend to experience the power of Chamber networking and to see if a Chamber membership can help your business. It is requested that you make your reservations by Monday, February 17th so that proper arrangements can be made.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Comprehensive Childcare Associates, located at 2447 Sycamore Street in North Port on Friday, February 21, 2020. There will be an Open House for Chamber Members and the public to attend from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 4:30 pm. Join us as we welcome Comprehensive Childcare Associates to the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce and to the City of North Port and see what types of services they have to provide and offer to our community. Food, drinks and door prizes will be provided.
