Chamber Conducts Membership Appreciation Raffle
In an effort to recognize and show appreciation to our Chamber Members that continue to reinvest and renew their membership with the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber will be conducting a raffle for Chamber Members that have renewed their Chamber Membership on time from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 at the Annual Meeting & State of the City Address Luncheon on Thursday, January 21, 2021. One lucky Chamber Member will win a 50” Samsung Smart Color Television thanks to our friend Dale Barghausen, Store Manager of the Walmart Store #3387.
To continue to show our appreciation to our Chamber Members, every Chamber Member that renews their Chamber Membership on time and continues to reinvest and support the Chamber in 2021, their name will be entered into the raffle to win a 50” Samsung Smart Color Television, once again thanks to our friend Dale Barghausen, Store Manager of the Walmart Store #3387, at the Annual Meeting & State of the City Address Luncheon on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce is only as strong and active as its Chamber Membership and the Chamber is forever grateful to the businesses and organizations that continue to support and promote our Chamber on a daily basis.
Past-President’s Legacy Plaque Unveiling Ceremony
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes and understands that the Chamber is only as strong as its membership and leadership. As in any Chamber of Commerce, the success of the Chamber is driven by the leadership of their Board of Directors which is comprised of Chamber members selected by the Chamber membership. Each year, the Board of Directors select an individual on the Board to serve as President of the Chamber of Commerce. It is the responsibility of the President to establish the goals and priorities of the Chamber for that year and to continue the growth and prosperity of the Chamber. Since the inception of the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber has continued to grow, address and meet the needs of the business community under the guidance and leadership of the various Board of Directors Presidents that have led the Chamber. Past-Presidents of the Board of Directors include: Juanita Maguire, Ron Monck, Debra Murphy, Sue Wollack, Ted Baszto, Joe Cardinelli, Ted Johnson, Cord C. Mellor, Esq., Peter VanBuskirk, Douglas W. In an effort to recognize and thank the Past Presidents for their service to the Chamber and to the business community, the Chamber has created a Legacy Plaque listing all of the Past-Presidents of the Chamber since its inception which will be displayed at the Chamber office. The Chamber will be conducting an Unveiling Ceremony of the Legacy Plaque at the Chamber office on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. The Chamber would like to invite all Chamber Past-Presidents, Chamber Members, City officials and the public to the Legacy Plaque Unveiling Ceremony. Hors’ devours and beverages will be provided.
Annual Meeting/State of the City Address/Business Advocate Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will hold the Annual Meeting/State of the City Address/Business Advocate Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the George Mullen Activity Center, located at 1602 Kramer Way in North Port. The Chamber will be inducting the recipient of the "2021 Business Advocate" Hall of Fame at this Luncheon. This award is designed to recognize and honor an individual that has dedicated their time and efforts in support of the Business Community. The recipient's name will be included on a plaque that will be displayed at the Chamber office and will receive a recognition award at the Luncheon. This year, we are honored to announce that the recipient of the "2021 Business Advocate" Hall of Fame is Dr. Lee Gross of epiphany Health. City of North Port Interim City Manager Jason Yarborough will provide the State of the City Address Report and the Chamber will present their Annual Report to the Chamber membership. Tickets for this event sell out every year. Cost is $35.00 per person for Chamber members and guests. Table sponsorships are available for $350.00 (includes seating for table of eight, listing in the program, name at table and verbal recognition at the event) and 1/2 table sponsorships are available for $200.00 (includes seating for four people, listing in the program, name at table and verbal recognition at the event). Lunch will be catered by Longhorn Steakhouse. The deadline to make reservations is Friday, January 15, 2021.
Coffee with the Docs
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will host their weekly Live Facebook “Coffee with the Docs” with Dr. Lee Gross and Dr. William Crouch of epiphany Health on the Chamber’s facebook page this Friday, January 15th, at 8:00 am to discuss the latest updates on the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. Dr. Gross and Dr. Crouch are very knowledgeable on the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and are frequently in contact with the White House and the State Capital. They will provide the latest updates on the status of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and will share their expertise knowledge on this issue. Chamber Members and the public will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Gross and Dr. Crouch questions during the Live Facebook show by submitting questions in the “Comment Box” on the Chamber’s facebook page or submitting their questions in advance by e-mailing their questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
