Great Time to Join the Chamber
As our communities and the State of Florida begins to reopen from the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Chamber recognizes that businesses and organizes are still financially struggling from the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, it is imperative that our businesses and organizations reopen in order to bring back our economy and to help our citizens get back to work. In order to accomplish this and understanding that businesses and organizations are financially struggling, the Chamber has extended the waiving of the Chamber membership application fee and will continue the quarterly membership dues payments option new and renewing Chamber Members. The Chamber offers resources, assistance and opportunities for businesses and organizations to successfully recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic and to promote their products and services to the community. Over the past month, the Chamber has experienced a tremendous amount of interest and results from businesses and organizations taking advantage of the Chamber offer and have joined our Chamber. If your business or organization has not yet joined the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, I highly encourage to contact the Chamber or any of our Chamber Members to learn more on how the Chamber can help your business or organization. You are also welcome to visit our Chamber website and facebook page to view the many accolades that the Chamber has received from our Chamber members and the community.
Network @ Noon Luncheons Are Back
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce Network @ Noon Lunches are bACK! The Chamber of Commerce will hold a Network @ Noon Luncheon this month on Thursday, June 18th from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at Visani's, located at 2400 Kings Highway in Port Charlotte. In accordance to the State of Florida Phase 2 COVID-19 Guidelines, the Chamber will implement appropriate seating social distancing and will limit the number of attendees for the Network @ Noon Luncheon. Attendees are also encouraged to wear a mask at the Luncheon. In order to maintain control of the attendance for the Luncheon, participants will be required to register and pay in advance of the Luncheon. No Walk-Up attendees will be permitted. The cost is $15.00 per person for Chamber Members and $20.00 per person for Chamber guest. Participants are requested to register for the Luncheon by Friday, June 12th so that proper arrangements can be made with the restaurant. We are excited to have the opportunity to see everyone again. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Coastal Carwash, located at 4420 Aidan Lane in North Port, on Monday, June 22nd at 8:30 am. Join us as we welcome Coastal Carwash to the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce and to the City of North Port and see what types of products and services they have to offer. Every person that attends the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will receive a free car wash. Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies are open to all Chamber members and to the public.
Business Spotlight Show
Every week, the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a 30-minute “Business Spotlight Show” on WKDW 97.5 FM Radio. These shows are taped each Friday at 11:30 am and air the following Wednesday on 97.5 FM Radio Station at 6:30 pm. These shows are also broadcast live on the Chamber’s facebook page at 11:30 am each Friday. The “Business Spotlight Show” is design to showcase Chamber businesses and organizations that provide great products and services to our community. This week, the Chamber will be showcasing the Suncoast Blood Bank. Please join us and learn more about our wonderful Chamber businesses and organizations.
“Coffee with the Docs”
The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will host their weekly Live Facebook “Coffee with the Docs” with Dr. Lee Gross and Dr. William Crouch of epiphany Health on the Chamber’s facebook page this Friday, May 29th, at 8:00 am to discuss the latest updates on the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. Dr. Gross and Dr. Crouch are very knowledgeable on the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and are frequently in contact with the White House and the State Capital. They will provide the latest updates on the status of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and will share their expertise knowledge on this issue. Chamber Members and the public will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Gross and Dr. Crouch questions during the Live Facebook show by submitting questions in the “Comment Box” on the Chamber’s facebook page or submitting their questions in advance by e-mailing their questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chamber of Commerce Golf Umbrellas
Rainy Season is here! The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce is selling 60” Coverage Firm Grip Golf Umbrellas for only $10.00. The Golf Umbrellas come in a solid black or black & white color and will be sold on a first-come/first-serve basis while they last. The Golf Umbrellas are for sale to all Chamber Members and to the public and can be purchased at the Chamber office, located at 1337 N. Sumter Boulevard in North Port, from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. As we continue to battle with the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Chamber encourages the community to purchase golf umbrellas and donate them to our first responders and healthcare workers. Thanks to a generous donation from David Cotton with Amedisys Home Health, the first five nurses that come to the Chamber office will receive a complimentary Golf Umbrella. The Golf Umbrellas also makes a great gift for Father’s Day.
Summer “BILL”board Campaign
The Chamber’s Annual Summer “BILL”board Campaign continues to be a smashing success for the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce and each of the Chamber Partners that are participating in this promotion. Each day, I am wearing different business attire that has been provided by various Chamber Business Partners that request to have their business/organization promoted through this Campaign, will e-mail a promotional flyer about their business/organization, post the promotional flyer and conduct a live facebook posting on the Chamber’s facebook page. This program is free to all Chamber businesses and dates are still available. I would like to thank the following businesses that are participating in the campaign this week. They include: Stewart Title, Camp Bow Wow Port Charlotte, Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County, Cruiser’s Travel & Tours and Suncoast Blood Bank.
