    The area's premier firearms training company announced its new class entitled, "HOME DEFENSE A.R.", which is open to the public.
    COMMAND PERFORMANCE FIREARMS AND TRAINING LLC designed the course for anyone who now owns a Armalite-platformed Modern Sporting Rifle for home defense. Many have these excellent firearms at home but acquired them without adequate or even any training. This renders them a danger to anyone in the home. On the other hand, in trained hands, they provide excellent defense for the home and family.

    This class will cover the basics of zeroing, gun safety and handling, accessories and tactics specifically for home-defense. They will be prepared to defend their families that same day.
    The class is drawn from Chief Instructor Paul DeClark's extensive training and experience as a 35-year Certified Firearms Instructor, including multiple certifications for civilian, law enforcement and security applications. He holds the NRA's Rifle Certified Instructor designation and the FL "K" Firearms Instructor's License which enables him to certify security officers in Patrol Rifle (AR) use, among other things.
    ONLY AR-15 PLATFORM FIREARMS ARE ALLOWED! NO AK’S, PISTOLS OR PISTOL CALIBER CARBINES! Students supply their own AR-15 and 50 rds factory-new ammo. The class will be held Saturday July 18, 9:00AM -- Noon classroom portion, followed by 50 rds individual live-range training that afternoon (or by appt.).
